overview

move is a personal workout log. It is designed to keep your activity history private and under your control.

information move stores

move stores the information you enter to provide its features, including:

  • workout entries, including activity type and date;
  • notes you add to a day;
  • custom workout names and selected illustrations; and
  • your in-app preferences, such as visible workouts and haptic-feedback settings.

where your information is stored

Your data is stored on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, move also stores your workout history, notes, and custom workouts in your private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit, so that your data can be available on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

move does not receive your Apple Account password, name, or email address. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

information move does not collect

move does not use advertising, third-party analytics, tracking technologies, or advertising identifiers. It does not collect contact information, location, payment information, or Health app data.

imports and exports

If you choose to import a CSV file, move reads the file on your device to create workout entries. The original CSV file is not uploaded by move. If iCloud sync is enabled, the imported workout entries may then sync to your private iCloud database.

If you export your data, move creates a file on your device for you to share or save using the options you choose. move does not send exported files anywhere on its own.

your choices and deletion

You can turn off iCloud sync in move’s settings at any time. Turning it off stops future syncing; it does not automatically remove data already stored in iCloud.

You can delete workout entries, notes, and custom workouts in the app. When iCloud sync is enabled and available, those deletions are synced to your private iCloud database. Data remains stored until you delete it, subject to Apple’s applicable retention practices for iCloud.

children’s privacy

move is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
